CALTRANS is currently accepting public comment for their Main Street Guide. Main street planning and design affects travelers,communities, and the environment. Therefore, streets that serve the greatest common good address all three categories. This document describes main street planning, design and operational strategies that support principles of multimodal networks, complete streets, livability and sustainability.
