About the Contest Theme

2025 Theme: Trees Root Our Community

Trees make our cities and towns feel like home. Their shady branches welcome us outside to play and enjoy time with family, friends, and neighbors.

“Trees Root Our Community” by making our neighborhoods stronger and healthier in many ways:

  • Trees connect people and provide a place for neighbors to meet and get to know each other
  • Trees invite us to play, exercise, and gather outside together
  • Trees provide shade to keep us cool
  • Trees welcome us to relax and enjoy nature
  • Learn more about trees and how they help our families and community here.

Heartfelt thanks to our Arbor Week Poster Contest partners CAL FIRE and the USDA Forest Service!
