Job Opening: Project Manager

Blue Heron Trails Visitor Contact Center (Grant Funded Project)

Position Overview:

 

The Project Manager works within the Native Trees in Urban and Rural Environments (NATURE) program and performs all project management duties related to the Blue Heron Trails Visitor Contract Center project. This project has received a 2012 California EEMP Grant with work anticipated to begin summer 2012. The Project Manager works closely with project partners (including the Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and the Center for Land Based Learning) to finalize project planning, manage implementation and ensure overall success of the project.

 

The Project Manager will ensure grant compliance and overall project success by utilizing personal knowledge of environmental restoration and grant management practices to oversee each step of the 3 year project process. Tree Foundation goals will be supported as the project is completed by leveraging community volunteers, service organizations and students to implement the planned grassland restoration, tree planting and habitat enhancement activities. A background in environmental restoration or natural resources management with experience in grassland restoration and invasive weed management is required.
