Community Forester, LMR seeks a dedicated and passionate Community Forester to join our Environmental Justice (EJ) team. As a Community Forester, you will play a crucial role in implementing strategies to improve the urban forest ecosystem, promote sustainable tree management practices, and enhance the overall environmental health of our community. Your expertise in tree planting and maintenance, as well as community engagement will contribute to the success of our mission to restore our urban canopy and establish trees for the first time in many places in our community. As one of our full time Community Foresters, you will be in the field everyday, working with a team of motivated and passionate people working to keep our trees watered, mulched, pruned, and pest managed.
This position offers opportunities to learn new skills or refine an existing knowledge base in arboriculture, ecology, and community service as you work alongside and train under the Urban Forestry Director and Community Forestry Coordinator.
