Being Green in April

This month affords lots of opportunities for people to be green. With flowers in bloom and trees beginning to show their leaves, it’s easy to show your love for Mother Nature. Earth Day and National Arbor Day afford two opportunities next week.

Monday, April 22 is Earth Day. This worldwide celebration evokes support for environmental protection. The following Friday, April 26 is National Arbor Day. This is a day when people are encouraged to plant or care for trees. If you’re looking for a way to celebrate either of these green days, take a look at the events calendar on the California Arbor Week website. There are still lots of events going on!

And don’t let your green attitude fade away at the end of April. Continue it throughout the year by volunteering for a local organization.
