The California Urban Forests Council is happy to announce that their 2011 work will include a strong focus on outreach and education to promote the visibility of urban forestry and help get the word out about its many benefits.

They have issued a request for proposals for public relations firms (click here) to publicize urban forestry and consulting authors (click here) to write short, snappy papers on specific issues in urban forestry. If you or someone you know might be a good match for these jobs, please pass the message along. Proposals are due by December 31, 2010.

The deadline is past due. Are there still needs for outreach writers with snappy articles?

My friend, Keith Johnson would be ideal. He is urban landscape and permaculture oriented, a snappy writer is up his alley.

Let me know and I will pass this on to him and him to you.

Thanks,
