The California Department of Parks and Recreation has announced dates for technical assistance workshops for the Statewide Parks Program. This program provides grant funding for the acquisition and development of new parks and rehabilitation or expansion of overused parks. The intent of this program is to provide new recreational opportunities in underserved communities.
State Parks will host twelve workshops throughout the state in February, March, and April. Grant applications are due on July 1, 2011. Click here for a schedule of all workshops, plus grant guidelines and other important information.
